Seniors Who Can’t Get Health Care in Alaska

10 October 2007

The following is an important message from our colleagues at AARP:

KTUU Channel 2 is developing a story (and possibly a two-part story) on individuals age 65 plus who are having problems finding an Alaskan physician who will accept Medicare. I am working with KTUU in developing this story, which won’t air until November. If you are one of those individuals, please call me with your story. If I’m away from the office, please leave your name, phone number, and a brief description of your challenges and frustrations in finding or trying to find a physician who’ll accept Medicare beneficiaries.

If you know of individuals/couples who may fit the profile, ask them to give me a call. I would also be very interested in talking with people who are now being denied service by their regular physician since turning age 65.
